About Our Curriculum

Learning and Play

Our Special focus is to help children in the following:

  1. Language development
  2. Literacy
  3. Cognitive development (math, science, creative arts)
  4. Social and emotional development
  5. Physical and health development
  6. Book knowledge and appreciation
  7. Phonological awareness
  8. Alphabet recognition
  9. Print awareness
  10. Early writing as well as numeracy:
    • Sorting and classifying
    • Ordering and sorting
    • Measuring
    • Identifying and using shapes
  11. Plus moral, health, safety, nutrition, and character development

We believe in holistic education, blending academic excellence with character development. Our co-curricular activities help pupils excel both in and out of the classroom.

Ball games
Ball Games

Pupils enjoy a range of games from football to netball. It teaches them about the importance of teamwork. Our pupils compete in a wide range of tournaments, giving them the chance to travel, meet, and play against children from elsewhere in their country.

Athletics
Athletics

Many pupils take part in athletics, which challenges them to develop physical strength and stamina. Athletics events are popular in schools, with many students representing their institutions and Uganda in international competitions.

Debate
Quiz & Debate

Our pupils enjoy debate club, in their own school and competing against other schools. They take it in turns to present arguments and respond to the other side. It teaches them public speaking and also develops critical thinking.

Music
MDD

Song and dance are an important part of community life. Pupils take part in performances; festivals and events across Uganda, giving them an opportunity to showcase their skills. They often compete in music competitions and do really well at local, district, and national levels.
